This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Build by Suyog (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects through buildbysuyog.com, why, and what choices you have. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and reply to enquiries.

2. Information I collect
Contact form and email
When you use the contact form, I receive the details you enter: your name, email address, project type and message. The form sends this to my inbox by email; it is not kept as a database record on the website. If you email or call me directly, I receive the details you share in that message or call.
Comments
If you comment on a blog post, WordPress stores the name, email address and website you enter, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. You may choose to save your name, email and website in a cookie for future comments (valid for one year). An anonymised hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to check for a profile picture (Automattic privacy policy).
Technical data
Like all web servers, the hosting server records technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps in server logs, for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores your light/dark display preference in your browser’s local storage; it is never sent to me. A cookie-consent tool records your cookie choices. Any analytics, marketing or third-party cookies are only used after you consent where required. Full details are in my Cookie Policy.
3. Why I use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss or deliver work you ask about (legitimate interests / steps before entering a contract).
- To publish and moderate comments (consent).
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse (legitimate interests).
- To understand how the site is found in search and improve it, where analytics are enabled (consent).
- To meet legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
I do not sell your personal information and I do not use it for automated decision-making.
4. Who I share data with
I use a small number of service providers who process data on my behalf:
- Web hosting (MilesWeb) – hosts the website and its server logs.
- Email delivery (Brevo, via an SMTP plugin) – delivers contact-form messages to my inbox.
- Email provider (Google Gmail) – where enquiries are received and stored.
- Gravatar / Automattic – profile pictures for commenters.
- Google – Google Analytics 4 (anonymous usage statistics such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type), Google Search Console (how the site appears in search), Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection on the contact form) and Google Fonts (typefaces loaded from Google servers). Google receives your IP address and browser details when these services load. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Upwork – if you link to or work with me through my Upwork profile, Upwork’s own privacy policy applies.
These providers may be located outside India, so your data can be processed in other countries. I may also disclose information where required by law.
5. How long I keep data
- Enquiry emails: kept while the conversation or project is active and for up to 3 years afterwards, unless you ask me to delete them sooner or I must keep records longer.
- Comments and their metadata: kept until you ask for removal.
- Server logs: kept for a short period set by the hosting provider.
- Client project and invoicing records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU/UK GDPR, or applicable US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@buildbysuyog.com. I will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and I use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
This site is intended for businesses and adults. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I will delete it.
9. External links
The site links to other websites (for example Upwork and social profiles). I am not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision.
